The Friends of Grenville Gardens help to maintain a public park and gardens which has been redeveloped for the benefit of the local community to include a renovated children's play area and opportunities for community gardening, including accessible raised beds for vegetable growing.

Autumn Gardening Club

The most exciting part of the year is here!
Harvest season of nourishment, eat well, live well, feel better. Prepare for the colder winter months by feasting on the fruits of your labour!

So far our plans for September and October look like this but of course that depends on what Mother Nature has in mind. Rain or shine we will meet every Saturday until the end of October.

Latest edition to the park is a beautiful raised bed built by our group and filled in record time with compost by our friends at the Good Gym Islington - if you like to run with purpose you should get involved they do great things all around the borough.

Activities for Spring NOW confirmed: Eco Gym March to May



What a beautiful list to behold... 
 'You want to make God laugh? Tell him about your plans'...weather permitting this is what we are going to do in Spring! 

NB: some dates are on saturdays and some dates will include activities specially for children 

  21st March: Launch Party Willow tunnel planting Big Dig 2015 join our Facebook event here

  27th March: Willow, wildlife and mulching seed sowing 
 (activities especially for young children)

  3rd April: Bug hotel building, weeding, wildlife and compost 

  11th April: Saturday willow, summer bulb planting and wildlife 

  17th April: Wildlife, seed sowing, planting 
 (activities especially for young children) 

  24th April: Green wall improvement 

  2nd May: Saturday Spring Celebration planting and tree decorating (activities especially for young children) 

  8th May: Planting out seedlings from previous sessions 

  15th May: Willow, pond wildlife 

  29th May: Railings and beans (activities especially for young children)

FROGG Green Gym 2015


FROGG Green Gym is funded by Awards for All to provide access to outdoor, gardening activities.

Open to all ages, levels of fitness and experience, our Green Gym session run every Friday from 20th March 2015 at 11am - 1pm

Activities include:
building flower beds, planting, watching and recording wildlife levels, labelling plants, writing signs, park development, mulching (spreading compost over flower beds), weeding, pond maintenance, litter picking, seed sowing and more

Attending a green gym session is perfect for anyone interesting in:
- increasing time spent outdoors
- improving fitness
- meeting people
- learn new skills

Sessions will include activities to suit all levels. If your group or someone you know is interested in attending please do not hesitate to contact us.
